Verlinda Angell is an Academic Case Manager and Master Tutor for Academic Answers. With over 35 years of experience in public and private school instruction, special education, including 15 years in university settings running and reading clinics and practicums in schools, Verlinda has honed an expertise and passion for guiding students to success on their educational journeys. Verlinda has always held a natural instinct and desire to work with children of all ages and empower them with the educational tools they need to succeed in life.
Verlinda holds a Doctorate in Curriculum & Instruction with an emphasis in Special Education and Reading. By focusing on what it takes to help students succeed in their educational journey, Verlinda was Professor Emerita at Southern Utah University and even held a position as a consultant for ICAT Resources.
Verlinda’s extensive experience in the field, combined with her mission and commitment to positively impact student’s lives, has become the driving force behind her life’s goals and success. One step, one degree, and one learning experience at a time, Verlinda has remained driven to increase the emphasis on the “learning” part of teaching.
One of Verlinda’s greatest accomplishments is being the co-author for the book, Instructional Assessment: An Essential Path for Guiding Reading Instruction (Gickling, Gravois, & Angell, 2016). However, Verlinda’s proudest accomplishment lies within her grandchildren. She lives for the memories she continues to make with her grandchildren, as she lets them be the educators in her life and teach her the true meaning about life and laughter.
